Great Southern Land Unveils New Logo and Branding Initiative
(AL) February 2nd, 2018– Great Southern Land announced today that it is launching a state-wide rebranding initiative featuring a redesigned logo and brand identity. “Over the past 45 years, the land industry has definitely evolved. There has been a significant paradigm shift to online consumer experiences. As Great Southern Land approaches its 35th anniversary, I felt it was the perfect time to revitalize our brand and unveil a new logo for our company and agents,” owner and founder Fletcher Majors, ALC said. “It’s a dynamic, more relevant look for Great Southern Land across all traditional and digital platforms. As our company continues to grow as a leader in the industry, we felt that we needed an identity that reflected that.”
Gavin Finklea, owner of Finklea Design Group said, “The previous Great Southern Land logo has withstood the test of time. Our team was honored to be a part of its revitalization and redesign. Great Southern Land’s brand needed to convey exactly who they are; a well-respected, innovative company with a remarkable team of expert land professionals. I definitely think we achieved that.”
Fletcher Majors, ALC, began his land brokerage career in 1974 as co-owner of “Southern Resources Real Estate Company” in Minter, Alabama. Eventually the office was moved to Selma, Alabama where, in 1983, Fletcher incorporated it as “The Great Southern Land Company, Inc.” and later moved that office to Camden. In 1996, he and his wife, Linda Majors, opened “Great Southern Land, LLC, and made Wetumpka, Alabama its permanent home. As of 2018, Great Southern Land has expanded into three office locations, Wetumpka, Camden and Opelika with a team of agents and brokers that span throughout the state. Great Southern Land is a full-service land brokerage company that specializes in rural, recreational, hunting, plantation, timber, and transitional Alabama property sales. In addition to land sales, Great Southern Land offers land appraisals and consulting services including equitable divisions of inherited land among its heirs.
Linda Majors, co-owner, said “We have earned a solid reputation for providing personalized assistance and in-depth professional real estate services specifically for the land industry. Our team of agents and brokers are committed to ensuring landowners get the most value for their land and they take pride in helping clients navigate the entire process of buying and selling land. I’m so excited that our new visual identity will reflect all of this and more.”
The company will immediately begin rolling out their new branding initiative across all of their existing digital platforms, as well as, incorporating it into new social channels and marketing endeavors. “Our branding initiative will help us increase the Great Southern Land footprint in new and existing markets throughout Alabama. We strive to optimize our agents’ listings, strengthen our collaborative network, and recruit more remarkable agents to represent rural and transitional land owners in our state,” said Lindsay Schumacher, Great Southern Land’s marketing consultant. “Landowners can rest assured knowing that Great Southern Land utilizes a targeted and multi-faceted marketing strategy to connect buyers to sellers with the most modern methods and digital platforms available today.”
According to Schumacher, the new Great Southern Land logo retains many of the attributes of the previous brand mark while incorporating a contemporary and more industry specific look consistent with their brand initiative. “This bolder look clearly communicates the onward growth, positive momentum, and level of expertise of Great Southern Land’s team of land professionals,” said Schumacher. ” The custom typography and unique graphics will help the company’s brand be easily distinguishable and more legible across all marketing media. Cumulatively, these elements provide a strong visual identity and a new level of expansiveness for Great Southern Land.”
